Ana Carolina Abreo Carillo
Biography
Carolina joined Baker McKenzie in 2022 as senior associate of the dispute resolution practice group. Carolina graduated from Universidad de los Andes, and obtained a postgraduate degree in public management and administrative institutions from the same university. She also holds an LL.M in international legal studies from New York University School of Law.
Before joining the Firm, Carolina worked in the litigation practices of prominent law firms in Colombia and the United States. Carolina worked as assistant legal counsel at the Permanent Court of Arbitration, as assistant to the General Attorney's Office, and as law clerk at the Council of State.
Practice Focus
Carolina advises and represents national and international clients before administrative authorities, the jurisdiction and national and international arbitral tribunals in disputes related with public law. She has worked in arbitrations under ICC, UNCITRAL and the Arbitration Center of the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce rules, in the infrastructure, oil and gas, transportation, and construction industries.
