Baker McKenzie advises on landmark real estate transaction in Hungary

Baker McKenzie Budapest advised La Société Generale Immobiliere (LSGI), a French investor and developer on the sale of Freedom Palace. 
 
Freedom Palace is an iconic and monumental office building in the heart of Budapest which was built in 1901 and acquired by LSGI back in 2007, with refurbishment and lease-up having taken place afterwards. 
 
Our real estate team assisted LSGI in the acquisition, lease-up as well as financing and re-financing of the building since 2007, and now in the exit transaction representing a flagship deal in the Hungarian real estate market.
