Marcin Fiałka is an associate in Baker McKenzie's Warsaw office and a member of the Life Sciences and IP/IT groups. He focuses on the pharmaceutical and health care industries, both within the regulatory framework and in the area of intellectual property and personal data protection.
Marcin graduated from the University of Warsaw, Faculty of Law and Administration. In 2018 he was admitted to the District Chamber of Legal Advisors in Warsaw.
Marcin Fiałka is focused on legal advisory for the pharmaceutical and health care industries. He has been involved in several global M&A projects, with particular emphasis on their regulatory aspects. Marcin has been advising on a variety of pharmaceutical market regulations, as well as issues related to medical devices and food supplements.
Marcin is also a member of the GDPR task force at the Warsaw office. He has been involved in preparing procedures and data protection documentation for several organizations operating in Poland. Moreover, Marcin supports Clients in maintaining their ongoing compliance with privacy regulations.

Advised a commercial organization in Poland on the EU law conformity of its counter-proposal to the governmental idea to introduce the Reimbursement Development Scheme to the Polish reimbursement system.
Advised a client on the structure of an innovative cooperation model with another global pharmaceutical company with respect to the distribution of a medicinal product.
Advised an innovative pharmaceutical company on local aspects concerning the global acquisition of a leading biotech company.
Advised a global investments group on the local regulatory and reimbursement aspects of the world-wide acquisition of a diabetes business from a major market player.
Supported a leading global tobacco company on the regulatory classification of an innovative "borderline" product from their portfolio.
Advised clients from various industries (electronics, foods, tobacco, real estate, automotive etc.) on the implementation of the GDPR requirements and prepared all the necessary documentation such as policies, procedures, templates etc.
Participated in several on-site data privacy audits aimed at identification of gaps in clients' procedures and practices.
Advised a client on the redesign of consumer touch-points, which was aimed at ensuring full GDPR compliance and uniformity thereof.
