Biography
Daichi Yano is an associate specialized in dispute resolution. He has been part of various teams that have represented and actively represent private entities in arbitrations of different nature in regulated sectors such as telecommunications, concessions and construction, among others. Committed to improving arbitration, he has trained law students participating in international arbitration competitions (mooties) and authored different articles published on the subject.
Representative Legal Matters
- Represented a telecommunications concessionaire with global presence in two arbitrations against the Peruvian State, in disputes related to concession contracts of over 20 years to install, operate and maintain public telephone services in rural areas of the country.
- Represented a telecommunications concessionaire with global presence in two arbitrations against its subcontractors, in disputes of a very complex nature related to service provision contracts to implement a telecommunications infrastructure in different regions of the country.
- Represented shareholders of a major Peruvian airport services company in an arbitration against a major investment fund in a very complex dispute.
- Advised private telecommunications companies on preventing and resolving disputes related to the execution of contracts and regulatory matters.
