Biography

Léa Woodhouse is a senior associate in the Intellectual Property Group of Baker McKenzie in Paris, which she joined in 2022.

Prior to joining Baker McKenzie, Léa developed her expertise in both contentious and non-contentious intellectual property matters at several French and international law firms renowned for their intellectual property practices, as well as at companies operating in the media and fashion sectors.

Léa also teaches trademark law as part of the Intellectual Property specialisation certificate offered by the DJCE. She is also a member of the Women's Foundation (Fondation des Femmes) legal task force, to whose initiatives she regularly contributes, notably by providing her expertise in intellectual property matters.  

Practice Focus

Léa advises on both contentious and non-contentious matters across all areas of intellectual property law, including trademarks, copyright, designs, unfair competition and passing off. She advises clients on the protection, management and commercialization of their intellectual property assets. 

Léa has also developed particular expertise in transactions involving intellectual property assets. She regularly advises on acquisitions, disposals, intragroup reorganisations and carve-out transactions, including in connection with intellectual property due diligence and and the negotiation of contractual provisions relating to such assets.

She also has significant experience in drafting and negotiating complex intellectual property agreements, including licensing, research and development, collaboration and co-development agreements, for clients across a wide range of sectors.
