Taylor A. F. Wolff
Biography
Taylor Wolff is an associate in Baker McKenzie's New York office and a member of the North America Tax Practice Group. He represents and advises companies on a full range of state and local tax matters, including litigation, controversy, audit defense, planning, and mergers and acquisitions.
Prior to joining Baker McKenzie, Taylor was an associate in the state and local tax group of an international law firm and previously worked at a Big Four accounting firm, working directly with state auditors to resolve client audit issues. In addition, he advised clients regarding income and franchise nexus, taxability, apportionment, combination, and sales and use tax nexus and taxability. He also provided state and local tax due diligence services for proposed merger and acquisition deals, and analyzed the state and local tax consequences of proposed corporate restructurings.
Taylor speaks on state tax topics at events around the country and has published articles in Bloomberg Tax and the Journal of Multistate Taxation and Incentives on a variety of topics, such as Public Law 86-272 and use tax.
Practice Focus
Taylor focuses his practice on a variety of tax controversy matters, including multistate litigation, planning, audit defense, controversy issues, and mergers and acquisitions. Taylor advises clients on income, franchise, sales, use, gross receipts, and transfer taxes.
