Biography

Ana Paula is an associate with Estudio Echecopar and part of the banking, finance and capital markets departments.

She graduated from the Universidad de Lima in 2019 and obtained her law degree from the same university in 2020. Prior to joining the Firm, Ana Paula also worked in the mining and natural resources sector focusing on mergers and acquisitions of Peruvian mining projects.

Practice Focus

Ana Paula focuses her practice on banking, finance, capital markets, M&A and corporate law. She provides legal counsel to domestic and foreign companies in the financial system in aspects related to their operations as lenders or borrowers. Likewise, she is experienced in asset securitization, public and private offerings of securities of investment funds, and advising arrangers and issuers.

Representative Legal Matters

  • Counseled Banco Internacional del Perú - Interbank, as lender, in a leaseback transaction on some of the properties of Camposol S.A., as borrower, in a financing for USD 41,746,172.30.
  • Counseled MEP Capital Holdings III, L.P., as lender, in a senior secured loan agreement in favor of FZ Sports, among others, as borrowers, in a financing for USD 10,025,000.
  • Counseled Scotiabank Peru, as arranger, and Scotia Sociedad Agente de Bolsa, as underwriter, in the structuring and registration Capital Markets Public Registry of the Seventh Negotiable Certificates of Deposit Programme for up to USD 350 million Peruvian soles and the public offering of the First Issue of Certificates of Deposit – Series A of Banco Falabella for an amount of USD 70 million Peruvian soles.
  • Counseled Credicorp Capital Servicios Financieros and Banco Santander as arrangers in a syndicated loan of up to USD 40 million, granted by Banco de Crédito del Perú and Banco Santander to Administradora Jockey Plaza Shopping Center.
  • Counseled Mich Resources on the negotiation with Pembrook Copper Corp. for the acquisition of the "Pecoy" Project, through the sale of 100% of the shares of Minera Andina de Exploraciones for USD 1.2 million plus the shares of Mich Resources.
  • Counseled Globetrotters Resource Group on its negotiation with Hudbay Minerals to sale an option right of a 70% stake in the "Cuajone NW" Project for USD 6.3 million in favor of Hudbay Minerals. This involved the transfer of 70% of the shares of Globetrotters Resource Group’ subsidiary Anka Resources in favor of Hudbay Minerals.
