Biography

Mathieu Raas is a legal director in our IP Tech & Commercial Contracts practice group. Mathieu has years of experience in high-value international litigation and arbitration, which he combines with highly pragmatic solutions. He has worked (on behalf of Baker McKenzie) for one and a half years as in-house counsel for a leading international e-commerce platform. 

Practice Focus

Mathieu advises on the impact of upcoming Dutch and EU regulations, negotiates contracts and coordinates the review of general terms and conditions (both business-to-business and business-to-consumer). He's a trusted advisor to the boards of various Dutch clients looking to enter new markets, develop new products and test strategies.

Together with the other members of our IP Tech & Commercial Contracts practice group, Mathieu is the first point of contact for early escalation of disputes where risk assessments and commercial solutions are critical. Mathieu was a member of Baker McKenzie Amsterdam's crisis team during the pandemic COVID -19.
