Biography

John Quattrocchi is a Partner in the Dallas office’s Corporate & Securities practice group. He has extensive experience across industry sectors, including communications, energy, media and entertainment, sports, technology and transportation, among others. Prior to joining Baker McKenzie, John was a partner in Weil’s Corporate Department in Dallas. John was named to the Dallas Business Journal’s inaugural 2017 Dealmakers list as one of the top 35 most outstanding M&A legal and business professionals in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. He has also been recommended for Private Equity Buyouts by Legal 500 US.

Practice Focus

John advises clients on a wide range of complex mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and private equity transactions, including cross-border transactions, and he provides advice on general corporate matters and corporate governance issues. John also has represented a number of debtors on various corporate matters in connection with reorganizations and sales under the Bankruptcy Code.

Representative Legal Matters

Prior to joining the Firm, John handled the following matters:

  • Represented General Electric Company in its USD 2.6 billion sale of GE Industrial Solutions.

  • Represented GDF Suez Energy North America, Inc. in (i) its sale of FirstLight Power Resources Holdings, Inc. to Public Sector Pension Investment Board, (ii) its sale of its portfolio of electric generating plants in Texas, New England and the Mid-Atlantic states to Atlas Power Finance, LLC and (iii) its internal reorganization necessary to effect the sales.

  • Represented OUTFRONT Media Inc. in connection with its acquisition of Reynolds Outdoor Media, Inc.

  • Represented EnLink Midstream Partners, LP and EnLink Midstream LLC in connection with the acquisition of subsidiaries of Tall Oak Midstream LLC.

  • Represented General Electric Company in connection with various aspects of its strategic plan to sell most of GE Capital’s assets.

  • Represented Meidu Holding Co. Ltd. in connection with its acquisition of Woodbine Acquisition and its operating oil and gas assets.

  • Represented Montage Hotels & Resorts and Investco LLC in connection with its acquisition of an equity interest in IAK Holdco, LLC and its ownership and operation of the Montage Kapalua Bay Hotel.

  • Represented Tinicum Capital Partners and its portfolio company, Skyway Towers, in connection with the disposition of certain cellular tower assets.

  • Represented NextMedia Group, Inc. and its subsidiaries and affiliates in numerous media and telecommunications acquisitions, dispositions, joint venture arrangements, other general corporate matters and its Chapter 11 reorganization.

  • Represented Enron in connection with various asset dispositions following its bankruptcy filing.
