Practice Focus

Kaspar is experienced in complex multijurisdictional disputes at the intersection of private and public law. He advises a large number of clients in connection with issues such as performance disruptions resulting from a changed sanctions environment. He has extensive experience in combining different areas of law such as civil law, civil procedure law and public law, as well as identifying connections in unrelated areas. This enables Kaspar to find a holistic solution for a variety of challenges.

Kaspar's practice further focuses on compliance advice and investigations. His practice covers a broad range of compliance areas, including export controls and both international and Swiss sanctions, anti-money laundering, and anti-bribery and corruption. As far as trade matters are concerned, he regularly advises in relation to import and export matters, as well as EU and Swiss export controls and trade sanctions. Kaspar also has significant experience in managing and advising on clients' interactions with a range of public bodies, such as enforcement authorities in the trade and sanctions area. For example, Kaspar has represented a broad range of clients in investigations and enforcement proceedings initiated by the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO).

In addition, Kaspar has significant experience in various matters relating to criminal law. He represents clients in a multitude of proceedings conducted by criminal authorities in both general criminal law and public criminal law. As such, he acts as a legal representative for parties who appear as defendants in such proceedings and as a legal counsel to natural and legal persons who had suffered harm.
