Camilo Pinzón Mendoza
Biography
Camilo is a lawyer with an emphasis on international commercial law and tort law, having graduated from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, where he led study groups in corporate law and corporate transactions.
He joined the Firm as an auxiliary associate and, in 2025, became a junior associate in the Mergers & Acquisitions Group.
He has experience in international transactions with effects in Colombia, implementation of international investments in Colombia, drafting share purchase and asset purchase agreements, financial regulation, and due diligence processes.
Practice Focus
Camilo focuses his practice on mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganizations, corporate and commercial law, and contract analysis. He advises local and multinational clients across industries such as energy, manufacturing, education, and consumer goods, on transactions spanning Colombia and other jurisdictions in Latin America, Europe, and North America. He has participated in high-impact cross-border transactions and corporate restructurings for leading business groups, including matters involving regulatory implications and significant precedents in the Colombian market.

- Advised a multinational energy group on the sale of its Colombian business and a subsequent international corporate reorganization, including coordination with legal teams in the Netherlands and Colombia.
- Advised multinational companies on the acquisition of retail companies and on the establishment of their operations in Colombia.
- Advised on the acquisition of companies in the financial sector, including regulatory due diligence and assistance in obtaining the required governmental authorizations.
