Daan focuses on mergers and acquisitions, including corporate takeovers, joint ventures and other alliances, for private equity and strategic parties. His work revolves around due diligence and drafting transaction documentation, where areas of law include finance, real estate and commercial contracting. The clients he assists on a daily basis include financial sponsors and private and publicly traded companies.

• Advised Elanco Animal Health, a global leader in animal health, on the acquisition of AHV International, Netherlands-based specialist in innovative animal health solutions.
• Advised Knorr-Bremse AG, a global leader in braking systems for rail and commercial vehicles, on the acquisition of TRAVIS Road Services International B.V., a Dutch online booking platform for road services for commercial vehicle operations with various subsidiaries.
• Advised Main Capital Partners, a leading European software investor, on the acquisition of IQ Messenger, a Netherlands-based provider of vendor‑independent critical communication and alarm management software for healthcare institutions.
• Advised Zevenwouden and Noorderlinge verzekeraars on the sale of their insurance portfolio, including broker operations, to De Goudse Verzekeringen, a Dutch insurer, strengthening its regional presence in the Netherlands.
• Advised Scildon and its parent Chesnara plc, a UK-listed life and pensions consolidator, on the transfer of Scildon’s collective pension portfolio in the Netherlands to Allianz, a global financial services provider.
• Advised Fellowmind, an international Microsoft solutions partner, on the acquisition of Xperity, a Netherlands‑based specialist in Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM solutions.
