Daan is an associate in Baker McKenzie’s Corporate M&A Practice Group in Amsterdam and focuses on local and cross-border M&A transactions.
Practice Focus
Daan focuses on mergers and acquisitions, including corporate takeovers, joint ventures and other alliances, for private equity and strategic parties. His work revolves around due diligence and drafting transaction documentation, where areas of law include finance, real estate and commercial contracting. The clients he assists on a daily basis include financial sponsors and private and publicly traded companies.

- Advised Knorr-Bremse AG, a global leader in braking systems for rail and commercial vehicles, on the acquisition of TRAVIS Road Services International B.V., a Dutch online booking platform for road services for commercial vehicle operations with various subsidiaries.
- Advised Main Capital Partners on the acquisition of IQ Messenger.
- Advised Zevenwouden and Noorderlinge verzekeraars on their sale to De Goudse.
- Advised Scildon and Chesnara plc on sale of collective pension portfolio to Allianz.
- Advised Fellowmind on the acquisition of Xperity.
