Biography

Tim Meynen is a junior associate in the Employment & Compensation Practice Group in the Brussels office. He joined Baker McKenzie in 2022 after completing both a summer and a winter internship with Baker McKenzie's Employment & Compensation Practice Group.

Practice Focus

Tim advises local and international companies on all aspects of individual and collective employment law, social security law and pension law. Tim provides companies with day-to-day advice on HR questions. He also assists clients with larger projects, such as (individual or collective) dismissals or amendments to their remuneration frameworks. In addition, he represents clients in conflicts, both in court proceedings and in settlements.

Representative Legal Matters

  • Advised Sika on the employment law aspects of the acquisition of the MBCC Group. 
  • Involved in various due diligence projects, reviewing and advising on employment law documents and issues. 
  • Assisted with (the practical implementation of) various multiple lay-offs. 
  • Updated numerous working regulations in light of the latest legislation.
  • Assisted various clients with the implementation of their (global/local) whistleblowing channel in Belgium (in light of the European Directive).
