Erin McLeod

Erin McLeod is a senior associate in the Employment team at Baker McKenzie in Melbourne.

Erin joined the Baker McKenzie Employment team in 2021. In 2023, she commenced a two-year Associate Training Program at the Firm’s London office before returning to the Melbourne office at the end of 2025.

Erin advises on all aspects of employment law, including recruitment and onboarding, contracts, restraints of trade, performance management, discrimination, bullying, harassment, and terminations

Erin has particular experience advising corporate clients on the employment aspects of financial transactions and workplace change, including Carve Outs, Mergers and Acquisitions, Transactions and Corporate deals.

Erin has conducted workplace investigations in relation to complex human resources issues, including investigations involving claims of sexual harassment and disclosures under whistleblower laws.

Erin represents corporate clients and executives in litigious proceedings, including before the Fair Work Commission and the Victorian and Australia Human Rights’ Commissions, in relation to unfair dismissal, unlawful adverse action, discrimination and harassment.

Erin advises clients on Australia’s work health and safety regime and has assisted clients to defend work health and safety prosecutions brought by the regulator in Victoria and Queensland. Erin’s experience extends to advising large national and multi-national corporations on industrial relations matters, including enterprise bargaining, industrial relations’ strategy and managing union rights of entry.
