Auriane Maréchal

Auriane advises and assists national and international clients in their contentious matters before judicial courts and arbitral tribunals. She also assists clients in regulatory and compliance issues, and more generally in all legal aspects of business and commercial law.

She focuses more particularly on advising clients on environmental, climate and sustainability issues.

• Assisting multiple clients in assessing the impact of the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) on their business and trading activities, taking into account the evolution of the EU ETS, and in developing their compliance strategies.

• Assisting a municipality in adopting measures to enforce environmental legislation.

• Advising a leading hydrogen generators manufacturer to ensure its compliance with hydrogen safety regulations.

• Assisting and representing a leading High-Tech retailer in a major construction litigation involving its landlord, architects, general contractors and promoters.

• Representing a multinational company in a major, critical and highly political litigation related to customs duties applied within the European Union on certain products imported from the United States, involving various proceedings before the General Court of the European Union, and Belgian tax courts and administrations.

• Assisting and representing a worldwide leading IT company in a major international construction arbitration, involving one main CEPANI arbitration, over 35 arbitration, pre-arbitration or litigation proceedings against subcontractors and several summary proceedings before Belgian courts.
