Victoria Lanyon
Biography
Victoria is a partner advising on all aspects of Australian taxation law for large multinational corporations. Victoria specialises in advising corporates on managing regulatory scrutiny on key tax risks and on the tax implications of major transactions such a mergers and acquisitions. She has a particular focus on private equity, corporate, and resource clients. She also advises on matters involving the taxation of not-for-profits.

Victoria is an experienced taxation lawyer providing commercially informed advice on all aspects of Australian taxation law to large multinational corporations. Beyond her particular capability in income tax, Victoria is also experienced with state royalties, payroll tax and GST matters. With particular experience in corporate acquisitions and divestments by global private equity and corporate clients. Victoria’s experience includes advising clients on tax structures for transactions and regularly advises on the drafting and negotiation of accompanying transaction documents. Victoria has significant experience in the energy and resources sectors, advising on the taxation of not-for-profits, as well as state tax objections, and federal income tax private ruling applications. Victoria frequently gives presentations to clients, conferences and internally.
