Biography

Shane Koball is a director of economics in Baker McKenzie's New York office. He has extensive experience advising multinational corporations from the industrial products, life sciences, automotive, retail and consumer products, and media and advertising industries on transfer pricing planning, compliance and dispute resolution, as well as supply chain planning and restructuring. Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Koball was a senior manager in the international tax services practice of well-known audit firm.

Practice Focus

Mr. Koball's practice involves advising clients on supply chain design and business restructuring, operationalizing transfer pricing policy, and aligning global documentation for streamlined compliance management. He has extensive experience implementing principal company structures in Europe and Asia, including developing transactional and transfer pricing models, assessing potential exit taxes and designing business processes to achieve appropriate substance from transfer pricing, subpart F, and local country perspectives. He also develops centralized transfer pricing documentation frameworks, working with financial controllers and tax departments to implement and monitor transfer pricing models and documentation.
