Biography

Dr. Jens Klapdor is a German qualified attorney (Rechtsanwalt) in the corporate/M&A practice group of Baker McKenzie’s Munich office. Jens studied law with additional training in economics at the University of Bayreuth with a focus on corporate law and obtained his doctorate (PhD equivalent) on a corporate law topic. He completed his legal clerkship at the Higher Regional Court of Munich, including a several months stage in the US. From 2023 to 2025, Jens worked in the corporate practice group of another leading international law firm.

Practice Focus

Jens is experienced in German and international private and public M&A transactions and advises companies, institutional investors and financial sponsors on a broad range of transaction types (both buy- and sell-side), including domestic and cross-border acquisitions, divestments, transformations and joint ventures.

Jens also advises on corporate and capital markets law topics, including advice on corporate reorganizations, securities trading law issues, management and supervisory board advice, and corporate governance.
