Biography
Abhishek Dubé ("Abhi") assists clients with complex franchise, distribution and license transactions, including international and M&A. His experience spans a broad spectrum of industries, including food and beverage, hospitality, retail, fitness, automotive, and alcohol. Abhi has developed and enhanced both new and existing franchise programs, and negotiated franchise and distribution transactions for the world’s leading brands.
Abhi is a Certified Franchise Executive and deeply immersed in the franchise industry, where he holds multiple leadership positions and is recognized for his contributions. He actively promotes diversity initiatives within the legal and franchise sectors.
Practice Focus
Abhi's practice is focused on US and international franchising, licensing and distribution, covering transactional and regulatory matters. His experience includes domestic and cross-border transactions, including joint ventures, franchise registration and disclosure, franchise relationship matters, compliance with US and international franchise laws, exemptions-based franchising, and mergers and acquisitions. He has represented numerous PE firms in acquiring and selling franchise systems and has provided strategic support to the world's largest restaurant brand in its international M&A and re-franchise initiatives. Abhi works extensively on inbound and outbound global expansion, advising on franchise transactions across Asia, Africa, North America, South America, Europe, CIS, GCC, MENA and Australia/Oceania.
