Representative Legal Matters
- Advised a leading EU insurance comparator in grounding its position on the applicable VAT exemption of its services. This was a complex engagement due to the very difficult frame arising from the ECJ cases, the Spanish courts and administrative criteria and the tough position held by the Spanish tax authorities in this case.
- Assisted a corporate and investment banking, asset management and banking services client in a tax audit in regard to its VAT position, specifically, with its VAT taxation arising from transactions performed among the different European branches and its headquarters.
