Baker McKenzie served as antitrust regulatory counsel to Berkshire Hathaway Inc. on its acquisition of Taylor Morrison, one of the nation’s leading community developers and homebuilders, for USD 72.50 per common share in cash. The transaction represented a total equity value for Taylor Morrison of approximately USD 6.8 billion and a total enterprise value of approximately USD 8.5 billion.

The combined companies delivered nearly 23,000 site-built home closings in 2025, operate in 21 states and 52 housing markets, and serve more than 700 communities nationally. The combination creates the fourth-largest homebuilding operation in the United States.
Led by Transactional Partner Michael Greaney, the Baker McKenzie team included Antitrust & Competition Partner John Fedele and Associate Kayleigh Golish.
