On 15 May 2026, Chambers & Partners announced Baker McKenzie FenXun Best Joint Operation Office of the Year in China, recognising its legal capabilities, client service and market standing at the Chambers Greater China Region Awards 2026 in Beijing.
This is the second time Baker McKenzie wins the same title, first in 2019, which underscores its excellence.
Isabella Liu, member of Baker McKenzie’s Global Management Committee, and Yingzhe Wang, managing partner of FenXun, jointly received the award on behalf of Baker McKenzie FenXun. Allen Ng, managing partner and chair of the Mainland China and Hong Kong Management Team; Wang Hang, chief representative of Baker McKenzie’s Beijing office; and Cherrie Shi, senior partner of FenXun, attended the awards ceremony.
Isabella Liu commented: “We greatly appreciate Chambers’ recognition, which validates our joint operation philosophy of ‘First in China, Fluent in Global’ and demonstrates the long-standing synergy between Baker McKenzie’s global network and local capabilities in China. Since we launched China’s first joint operation office in 2015, we have remained committed to building a comprehensive cross-border legal service platform, and this accolade is a testament to our continued dedication and consistency over the years.”
Yingzhe Wang added: “This recognition would not have been possible without the efforts of our team and the trust of our clients. As a China-based firm, FenXun is deeply rooted in the domestic market. Through the joint operation, we are able to respond more efficiently to the demands of cross-border and complex transactions. We will continue to strengthen our platform and align with the evolving needs of our clients.”
As the first joint operation approved by the Shanghai Justice Bureau in 2015, Baker McKenzie FenXun has remained at the forefront of the market. Building on its 10th anniversary celebrations last year, this recognition further reinforces our market position and brand impact.
The Chambers Greater China Region Awards recognise law firms and practitioners for excellence across the region. The awards are based on independent research conducted for the Chambers Greater China Region Guide, taking into account legal expertise, client service, commercial vision and market impact.
