Baker McKenzie Cairo has acted as lead counsel to Travco Group, one of the largest international operators of a diversified portfolio of hotels across Europe and the Middle East), in connection with its 100% acquisition of Royal for Investment & Tourism Development (Royal Azur) S.A.E.

The transaction involves the full acquisition of the company that owns and operates two hotels in Hurghada, a strategic and fast‑growing tourism destination on the Red Sea. This acquisition strengthens Travco Group’s expanding hospitality footprint in Egypt and supports the Group’s continued investment in elevating regional tourism offerings.

The Baker McKenzie team advised Travco Group on all legal aspects of the transaction, acting as sole legal counsel for the Travco Group. The transaction was led by Senior Counsel Mohamed Ghannam, supported by key team members including: Zeinab Shohdy, Omar Zaki, Hayna Abdelrahim and Chirouette Elmasry.

The transaction was executed by the M&A team with additional support from the firm’s Antitrust team, led by Mohamed El Far along with Hania Negm, Mohamed Elbaroudy, and Logaine Elshafie, and the Banking and Finance team, Mostafa Lotayef and Noureldin Elhayatmy, ensuring comprehensive legal coverage across all aspects of the acquisition.
