Baker McKenzie Thailand has joined the United Nations Global Compact Network Thailand (UNGCNT), affirming the office's pledge to advancing the prioritized Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and upholding the Firm's commitment to the Ten Principles, operating in a way that meets our fundamental responsibilities with respect to human and labor rights, the environment and anti-corruption.
Our Firm has been an active participant of the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) since 2015. We place sustainability at the core of our business practice. The Ten Principles and the Firm's prioritized SDGs, which are reflected in our global strategy, continue to shape our business practice as we focus on values and strategies to capitalize on what we have accomplished as a Firm and continue to make progress on the objectives that we have set as an organization.
The UNGCNT was launched in December 2018 by 15 companies as its founding members. The UNGCNT reflects the ambitions of the UNGC as the world's largest corporate sustainability initiative. With representatives of business, academia, government and civil society, the UNGCNT presents a unique platform that allows Baker McKenzie to be at the cutting edge of sustainability trends and regulations in Thailand, providing support for businesses to align their strategies and operations with the Ten Principles as well as supporting actions to advance broader commitments to the UN SDGs.
