Baker McKenzie’s London office has today announced its autumn 2023 trainee retention rate. 

All 16 trainees in this cohort have accepted an NQ position, giving the Firm a retention rate of 100%.

The newly qualified lawyers will be joining the following departments:

Banking: 2
Corporate Finance: 1
Corporate M&A: 2
Corporate Reorganisations: 1
Disputes: 2
Employment: 3
Energy, Mining & Infrastructure: 1
IP & Technology: 1
Private Equity: 2
Structured Capital Markets: 1

Baker McKenzie’s London Training Principal, Stephen Ratcliffe, commented: “As Baker McKenzie looks ahead to the start of its next era of growth in London with its move to 280 Bishopsgate later this year, our 100% retention rate for the autumn is a reflection of our commitment to retaining and developing the best talent. The Firm recently announced that it had increased its London NQ salary from £110,000 to £118,000, effective as of 1 July 2023.
