In brief

On 12 December 2025, the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce (SIC) issued Resolution 106340 of 2025 (“Resolution”), by which judicial terms are suspended in the proceedings handled by the Division for Jurisdictional Affairs. This measure responds to a shortage of personnel and the need to carry out administrative and planning tasks for fiscal year 2026.

Key points

Suspension of terms

Procedural terms in jurisdictional proceedings before the Division for Jurisdictional Affairs are suspended from 22 December 2025 to 9 January 2026 inclusive. During this period, no legal terms will run for procedural actions.

Suspension of technological services

The provision of services on the Entity’s technological platform (website, email, information systems, internet, and procedures system) related exclusively to proceedings before the Division for Jurisdictional Affairs is suspended during the same period.

Publication and dissemination

The Resolution instructs the relevant offices to publish the administrative act in the Official Gazette and through all institutional communication channels.

Rationale

The Resolution is based on the shortage of staff for the closing of fiscal year 2025 and the start of 2026, as well as the need to guarantee due process and proper administrative planning.
