Our lead insight article this month comes from Baker McKenzie’s Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) team who take on the topic of the carve-out trilemma and its relevance to Japan. This edition we also shine a spotlight on the fantastic work done by Ashinaga – a Japanese charity providing critical support to orphans and pro bono client of our firm – and we share accounts of two insightful forums that UKJC has recently had the privilege of participating in: the Institute of Directors and City of London Corporation led trade mission to the World Expo in Osaka, and the Pacific Future Forum aboard HMS Prince of Wales, the Fleet Flagship of the Royal Navy, in Tokyo Bay.
