In brief
The Department of Business Development (DBD), under the Ministry of Commerce, has announced that from 1 November 2026, all limited company corporate registrations must be submitted exclusively through its online DBD Biz Regist system. Walk-in, paper-based registration will no longer be accepted.
In more detail
Since 1 July 2026, the DBD has already required that incorporation registrations for limited companies be submitted solely through the DBD Biz Regist system, discontinuing paper-based submissions for such services. From 1 November 2026, this requirement is expected to be extended to all limited company corporate registrations, with the DBD Biz Regist system becoming the only channel for all such registrations, including:

We anticipate that the DBD may grant exemptions permitting paper-based submissions in limited circumstances, for example, where applications are not signed by a company's current authorized directors, or where objections or oppositions have been filed by the relevant parties. Such exemptions may be granted at the discretion of the responsible officers at the relevant DBD office.
It is important to note that, notwithstanding the transition to a fully online system, certain documents will still require execution by authorized directors, either by wet-ink signatures or electronic signatures through designated applications (such as DBD e-Service and ThaID). Where directors are non-Thai nationals or reside outside Thailand, the registration process may take longer, and same-day completion may not be feasible. Companies should therefore plan their registration timelines in advance.
