The Network Operations Engineer will support and maintain the Local and Wide area networks. With the team, the role holder will take ownership of the full lifecycle of Network Operations ensuring business needs are met and the Firm's information assets are secured and protected as per the ISMS standards.  Some specific responsibilities and functions include the administration, analysis, design, installation, maintenance, operation, documentation, and planning of infrastructure and networks.


  • Responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the firm’s network infrastructure
  • Maintain network hardware in an operational condition as mandated by internal and external SLAs
  • Remediate incidents within defined Service Level Agreement guidelines
  • Monitor internal and external compliance within the Firm's information security policies and procedures as described in ISMS: identify non-compliant practices and rectify
  • Perform performance assessments and generally monitor network performance to establish and improve internal and external service level agreements
  • Maintain the Firm's network-related information repositories
  • Perform other relevant functions and tasks as assigned by the Network Operations Supervisor and Global Network Manager
Skills and Experience:
  • Cisco CCNA preferred or applicable experience
  • Knowledge of WAN/LAN technologies, methods, and practices
  • Knowledge of Firewalls and common network industry platforms
  • Ability to gather and analyze facts, draw conclusions, define problems, and suggest solutions
  • Excellent organization, communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to multitask, problem solve and liaise at various levels within and outside the organization
  • Ability to adapt, integrate, and modify existing programs or vendor-supplied package programs for use with existing information systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
