Baker McKenzie seeks an associate attorney with an interest in focusing on CFIUS/foreign investment reviews and international trade compliance to reside in the Firm's Washington, DC office. The ideal candidate will have two (2) to four (4) years' experience in CFIUS and/or international trade (with an emphasis on compliance with US export controls, trade and economic sanctions) as well as transactional work. Specific experience advising US and non-US companies on compliance due diligence in mergers and acquisitions and other cross-border transactions, export classification, trade agreements and trade policy would be preferred.

The ideal candidate will also have strong academic credentials, excellent analytical, communication and writing skills, an ability and willingness to collaborate across teams and cultures, strong organizational skills and the ability to operate in a fast-moving environment.  Major law firm experience strongly preferred. Must be admitted and a member in good standing of  the District of Columbia Bar or to apply.
