The User Experience Architect will lead the development of user experience strategy, principles, and standards resulting in an exceptional digital experience for our clients, lawyers, and other internal and external stakeholders across the Firm’s digital platforms, solutions, and services. 
The UX Architect is expected to take an enterprise view of the UX architecture and when required, take a hands-on approach to lead the design of digital experiences using the concepts and process of UX design with a focus on platforms that are used to generate firm revenue.
Responsibilities include identifying opportunities to enhance the Firm's digital experiences to achieve strategic objectives and the architecture vision, particularly enabling more efficient use of revenue-generating platforms.
We are looking for someone to join the Enterprise Architecture team with a strong work ethic and a genuine interest in working in a law firm.
A successful candidate will:
Develop a set of principles and standards that enable the design of a target user experience and the desired emotional response
Perform research.  Understand and document personas, user flows, pain points, journey maps, and value streams
Produce sophisticated wireframes and prototypes to improve the level of engagement and communication with key stakeholders
Accountable for UX project results and serving as a key day-to-day contact for the user experience


Develop principles of usability and user-centered design that underpin the user experience philosophy
Lead UX design for a wide variety of product challenges, including mobile, desktop, and person-to-person interactions
Work directly with client teams, portfolio managers, product owners, subject matter experts, business analysts, marketing, branding, solution architecture, and software development leads
Contribute and manage shared knowledge of user-centered design and research methodologies
Influence design decisions using business and user goals, demographics, usage data, and research findings
Develop high level, detailed storyboards, mock-ups, and prototypes to effectively communicate interactions and design ideas
Very strong communication skills, with a natural ability to articulate and defend design decisions and run UX workshops with internal and external stakeholders
Design solutions across a variety of channels and contexts, i.e. business applications, email, websites, chatbots, Microsoft 365, etc., with a particular focus on channels that drive Firm revenue (e.g. Sharepoint Online)
Create real value for people and enable the Firm to better understand its audience and markets
Improve UX design based on feedback, research, technical constraints, security and compliance obligations, and business decisions 

Skills and Experience:
Essential Criteria
Strong professional experience as a UX designer, information architect, interaction designer, user interface designer, or similar role
Seeking a qualified UX candidate with an exemplary track record, searching for career advancement to the next level within a professional services firm
BA in Human Factors, Usability (UX), Human-Computer Interaction, Information Technology or similar fields
Experience with UX maturation activities, collaborative multi-disciplinary teams, and working directly with developers and solution architects
Direct experience conducting primary user research (usability studies, stakeholder interviews etc.)
Strong understanding of combining user-centered design principles with user research
Expert experience with UX toolset (such as Microsoft suite, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Invision, Axure)
Exceptional presentation abilities, comfortable working face to face or in virtual settings across multiple time zones
Experience providing UX design for Microsoft 365, in particular, the Power Platform in a professional services organisation
Strong wire-framing skills (sketching and via software such as Sketch, Axure)
Experience with iterative prototyping techniques (paper prototypes, Figma, InVision)
Proficiency in journey mapping using layout software (Omnigraffle, Illustrator, Visio)
In-depth evaluation of business and customer pain points
Expertise in multichannel user behaviours, particularly mobile/handheld technologies
Agile certification or comparable experience working in an Agile environment

Desirable Criteria
Understanding of the Firm, how we operate, how we interact with our clients and our internal business processes
Experience in a law or professional services firm
Knowledge of and experience in one or more architecture methodologies is highly desired
