The Associate Director, Tampa Center Finance Operations will manage and enhance relationships with key service owners within the Global Finance Function. This role also involves financial analysis and budget planning for the Tampa Center. This role oversees the day-to-day activities of the Tampa Center Finance teams (e.g., procure to pay (P2P), Billing and Collections, and Accounting), partnering with Functional Leaders (FL) and Service Owners (SO) for each service within Finance to ensure the local teams are delivering service excellence.


The role holder, will coach team members and support their development of business and technical skills. The individual in this role has experience managing and holding others accountable for service delivery and client satisfaction metrics. In addition, this person will partner with multiple stakeholders across the Firm to drive engagement of the services within the Finance function.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the center financials to include non-payment inquiries from vendors and processing and tracking invoices
  • Accountable for overseeing any potential operating risks in Finance in the center and escalating them as appropriate
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Service Owners (SO) and Functional Leaders (FL) within Finance for the Center
  • Conduct monthly financial reviews with ED and Tampa Center Leadership and address any concerns
  • Partner with FLs and SO to find creative ways of improving service levels and solving operational issues across the center.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and coaching to managers and supervisors
  • Monitor the financial performance of the center and provide actionable insights
  • In collaboration with the functional managers, provide performance reviews and timely feedback to local teams
  • Collaborate within the Finance function and across the center to support any cross-functional/center initiatives
  • Recruit and hire employees in the Finance function in Tampa

Experience Required

Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree focusing on Financial Management, Accounting, or other related areas highly preferred.
  • CPA or CFA is highly preferred
  • Strong experience in Finance Operations and/or Global Service Centers Services in a professional services or legal services organization is highly preferred
  • Proven leadership experience in managing in a matrixed, global environment
  • Demonstrated proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g. SAP)
  • Proven ability to influence, interact, and consult with senior leaders regarding finance processes, guidelines, and compliances
  • Skilled at mentoring, developing, and coaching finance professionals to include a large population of non-exempt employees in shared services business settings
  • Demonstrated expertise in operational efficiency and financial planning
  • Demonstrated ability to assess risk and take decisive, appropriate actions, especially in the case of exception requests
