Our North America Employment & Compensation Practice Group provides clients with “one stop” domestic and international employment law counseling, transactional support and litigation representation. We assist multinational companies with their U.S. and international labor and employment issues, from expansion into new jurisdictions, to deploying and managing a global workforce, to managing through business changes such as M&A and restructurings, to litigation defense. We “translate” the international landscape for our clients and provide high quality legal and commercially practical support.
The Palo Alto office of Baker McKenzie seeks an associate attorney for its Labor & Employment practice. The position will provide hands on, highly challenging and interesting legal assignments, including advice and counsel on cross-border employment issues. The ideal candidate will have 0-3 years of employment counseling and/or general employment litigation experience, and a strong interest in international employment law. The ideal candidate also will have strong academic credentials from a top law school and excellent communication, analytical and writing skills. Top tier law firm experience in an employment practice and international experience is preferred. Must be admitted and a member in good standing of the California Bar to apply. The candidate must have the ability to function smoothly in a global team environment with culturally diverse team members.
