Baker McKenzie seeks a junior to mid-level associate (up to class 2017) focused on executive compensation and employee benefits for our Employment & Compensation practice to reside in California, Chicago, NY or Washington, DC. This position will advise companies, both public and private, on various executive compensation and employee benefits matters. Specific practice focus will be on executive compensation and benefit plans, including qualified retirement plans, non-qualified deferred compensation plans, employee stock purchase plans, and other executive compensation arrangements.

Ideal candidates will have experience advising on compensation and benefits issues that arise in mergers and acquisitions and advising on the corporate, tax, and securities law issues surrounding the design, implementation, and administration of equity and non-equity based compensation programs.

Candidates must be admitted to and be a member in good standing of the state bar where they intend to practice law and have strong academic credentials and excellent communication, analytical and writing skills.  Candidates must also have the ability to function smoothly in a global team environment with culturally diverse team members.
