Description
Baker McKenzie seeks an associate attorney for its Technology Transaction, Data Privacy, Cybersecurity, and AI practice to reside in our Chicago or Washington, DC office. The ideal candidate will have five to seven years of technology transactions, privacy, and/or cybersecurity, experience at a large or specialized firm, transactional (e.g., working on IP/IT/privacy aspects of M&A; drafting and negotiating technology agreements) and advisory (e.g., preparing privacy policies, reviewing social media terms, researching technology law issues, and the like). Experience in all areas not required, but ongoing active interest in AI, technology, transactional, privacy, and cybersecurity law work is expected. Major law firm experience is a plus.

This position is bonus-eligible and includes medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) benefits based on the number of hours worked. The US base compensation for this position is expected to be $365,000 to $420,000 annually if located in Chicago or Washington DC. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
