Description
Baker McKenzie seeks an associate attorney with 4–5 years’ experience in US trade law, with a focus on CFIUS/foreign investment review (FIR), US export controls, sanctions advisory and investigations. The ideal candidate will have experience advising on national security-related regulatory matters, including cross-border transactional reviews and enforcement investigations. Candidates should be comfortable managing workstreams, supporting client relationships, and collaborating with cross-practice teams across multiple jurisdictions.
The position is in the Firm’s Washington, DC office. Candidates must be proactive, comfortable working independently, have strong academic credentials, excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and writing skills, and a demonstrated ability and willingness to collaborate across teams and cultures. Major law firm experience is strongly preferred. Must be admitted and a member in good standing of the District of Columbia Bar or be eligible to waive in. Additional Information
This position is bonus-eligible and includes medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) benefits based on the number of hours worked. The US base compensation for this position is expected to be $310,000 to $365,000 annually if located in Washington DC. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
