The New York office of Baker McKenzie seeks an associate attorney with three (3) to five (5) years' experience representing global financial institutions and FinTech companies on regulatory and enforcement matters. Specific experience would include some combination of counseling on payment systems, digital assets and crypto currency, consumer finance, banking, broker-dealer, and investment adviser matters.  It may also include internal reviews, regulatory investigations, examinations and enforcement actions by the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and other regulatory agencies, including the New York Department of Financial Services and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.

 

The ideal candidate will also have strong academic credentials, excellent analytical, communication and writing skills, and an ability and willingness to collaborate across diverse teams and cultures.  Prior client facing experience and ability to interface with and manage client relationships with partners is preferred.  Must be admitted and a member in good standing of the New York Bar to apply.
