Our North America Employment & Compensation Practice Group provides clients with “one stop” domestic and international employment law counseling and litigation representation. We assist multinational companies with their international and domestic labor and employment issues, from expansion into or exit from new jurisdictions to deploying and managing a global workforce, to defending them in litigation in both state and federal court. We “translate” the international landscape for in-house counsel and managers with global responsibilities. We lead cross-border and multi-disciplinary employment projects providing commercially practical support for our clients’ global operations.

Baker McKenzie seeks an associate attorney for its Executive Compensation/Employee Benefits practice to reside in our San Francisco, Palo Alto, Los Angeles, or Chicago office.  The ideal candidate will have two to five years of experience in advising private and public companies on sophisticated executive compensation, employee benefits and other incentive and compensation arrangements, including in connection with M&As, spin-offs, divestitures, IPOs, redomiciles and other transactions. The ideal candidate will also have strong academic credentials and excellent communication and writing skills.  We will also consider candidates with a strong global tax or corporate law background.  Major law firm experience is a plus. Must be admitted and a member in good standing of the Bar in the state of employment.

This position is bonus-eligible and includes benefits such as medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) based on number of hours worked.  The US base compensation for this position is expected to be $235,000 to $365,000 annually. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
