The DC office of Baker McKenzie seeks an associate attorney with 2 to 6 years of experience for the Cross-Border Transactions & Integrations team in the Corporate practice group. The candidate will be responsible for assisting clients with the planning and implementation of complex, multi-jurisdictional transactions, such as global carve outs, spinoffs, post-merger integrations and pre-transaction restructurings, entity rationalization projects, global expansion projects, and related international corporate matters relating to clients’ non-US operations. Ideally, the candidate should have experience working on multijurisdictional transactions and experience coordinating with local counsel, whether international or domestic. They will also have general corporate and M&A experience and experience managing junior level Associates. Foreign legal training or experience working outside the U.S. for another major law firm is a plus. The candidate should have superior academic credentials from a top ranked law school (law review experience a plus) and excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical and writing skills. Must be admitted and a member in good standing of the DC bar to apply or eligible to sit for the DC bar. For candidates under third year, transactional attorneys wishing to transfer to corporate global transactions will be considered, particularly if they have personal or professional international experience. Qualified candidates will have the ability to function smoothly in a global team environment with culturally diverse team members.
