Baker McKenzie's Funds Group is one of the premier funds legal practices in Australia. The Funds Transaction Group is part of the Major Projects Group given its focus on major transactions in the real estate, infrastructure, energy and private equity sectors. It also works closely with the Financial Services and Funds (FSF) Group, which focuses generally on funds management, structured equities and derivatives, tax structuring, financial markets, superannuation, regulation and disclosure.
The work undertaken by the Funds Transaction Group is primarily transactional in nature, and includes assisting funds on raising capital and undertaking investments and M&A transactions.
The Funds Transaction Group in Sydney requires a Senior Associate with experience in funds management with a transactional focus in a large firm environment. Additional experience in a commercial environment, in funds, would be looked upon favourably.
