Baker & McKenzie LLP - North America seeks an associate attorney with 4 to 7 years of experience to join the Derivatives practice area of the Banking, Finance and Major Projects (BFMP) Practice Group in our Chicago Office, but open to candidates in New York. The ideal candidate will have at least four years of experience in regulatory, transactional and/or enforcement matters involving derivatives (futures and swaps) and other financial products, as well as demonstrable experience with all aspects of the applicable laws (the Commodity Exchange Act, as amended by the Dodd-Frank Act) and rules (of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission and National Futures Association) that apply to futures commission merchants, introducing brokers, commodity pool operators, commodity trading advisors, proprietary trading firms and other derivatives market participants. In addition, specific experience with matters involving CPOs and fund documentation is a strong plus.
