Role Purpose

To lead the portfolio team in the implementation of integrations required from SuccessFactors to downstream Payroll, Recruiting and Onboarding, and other HR modules.

To manage the portfolio of Technology products for the People Function, focusing on maximizing the value of the portfolio, and achieving the right balance and mix of products, as well as directly supervising the People Product Managers. To bridge the gap of understanding between customer needs, operational needs, and technology capabilities; lead the team and support the business with the technical implementation and support of Recruitment, On-Boarding, Performance and Goals, Learning, and other SuccessFactors or 3rd party modules.

Main Responsibilities

  • Management of the Product Managers and Application Engineers, including performance management (i.e. annual performance reviews), task assignment/prioritization, leave time approval, and coordination of all follow-the-sun and support activities if required. Providing career development guidance for the team
  • Management of SuccessFactors technical implementation and product support to include Employee Central, Compensation, Recruitment, On-Boarding modules
  • Manage projects and teams within budget and timelines
  • Develop business cases, project estimates, and plans for new system projects within the portfolio, in line with the Technology PMO processes. Prepare and deliver professional communications to various levels of the organization to communicate project objectives, status, risks, and achievement of the expected goals
  • Implement the portfolio roadmap to centralize, standardize, and optimize all office-based and enterprise applications related to the assigned portfolio
  • Work with the Product Managers to manage vendors, including analysis of third-party spending 
  • Ensure compliance with our Information Security Management System policies (ISMS) and all other Technology processes related to the effective management of the portfolio and implementation of SuccessFactors and the integrations
  • Ensure the team follows the Change Management, Release Management, and Technical Change designated processes
  • Ensure the technical knowledge base, solutions support plans, and relevant technical training are provided to the Service Desk and On-site Support teams as necessary
  • A main focus for the duration of the contract will be to manage the integration work required for SuccessFactors integrations.  This will include:
    • Work with the PM, procurement, global security, the enterprise architecture team, HR Talent Management, and Payroll teams (the business) and the vendor to execute the statement of work for each integration
    • Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and end-users to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
      Collaborate with the People Systems and analytics teams, the HR Talent Management and Payroll teams, and internal technical and vendor teams to ensure security approval, design, map, develop, test, and implement integrations between SAP SuccessFactors and other systems
    • Collaborate with the technology business analyst and People Systems and analytics teams as it relates to SuccessFactors Employee Central and where new fields may be required by the downstream system to facilitate integration
    • Oversee the testing process.  Work with the business, vendor, and QA teams to ensure integration testing and UAT test scenarios, test records, and testing are completed to BM standards
    • Work with the business to complete the UAT and gain sign-off from the business for UAT
    • Oversee hypercare period and carry out post-integration checks, review error logs, and resolve any issues
    • Work with the relevant business, technology, or vendor teams to resolve integration issues promptly
    • Co-ordinate with the PM, business, People Systems and analytics, vendor, and technology teams for cutover planning
    • Ensure relevant documentation related to integration processes is developed and maintained, including mapping specifications, data flows, and error-handling procedures
    • Ensure appropriate monitoring and escalation are in place before ‘Go-Live’ for each integration
    • Provide technology support to business teams on integration-related topics
  • Work with the Service Delivery management team to introduce new processes and practices to develop and improve project delivery performance across all portfolios
  • Develop and enhance relationships with Technology and Business teams, actively managing expectations & monitoring satisfaction levels
  • Act as an escalation point for business challenges from a delivery or relationship perspective for the People Team

The Firm's Technology function is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the firm's global technology infrastructure, including architecture, hardware, software, computer networking, communications, and data management. The function works closely with lawyers, clients, and Business Professionals' functions to ensure our technology offering is best-in-class and forward-thinking, allowing the Firm to provide its clients with cutting-edge, innovative legal and business advice via up-to-date technology products and solutions.


The Solutions Team is responsible for the management and delivery of optimized software applications that meet the needs of the Business.

This role will report to the Associate Director, People Solutions.

The direct reports of this role are the Product managers and Application engineers for People Solutions.

The key relationships of this role are with the following:

  • Talent business leads
  • Portfolio Managers for the other Service Delivery Solutions Teams
  • Technical Services teams

About The Candidate

Technical skills, qualifications and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business information systems or equivalent
  • Strong hands-on work experience in a professional environment
  • Strong level of experience as an Integrations Specialist, with a focus on SAP SuccessFactors modules 
  • SAP SuccessFactors certifications (e.g., SAP Certified Application Associate - SAP SuccessFactors) are an advantage 
  • Demonstrable experience working with middleware platforms, SAP Cloud Integration/ CPI
  • Strong understanding of SAP SuccessFactors modules, including Employee Central, Recruiting, Onboarding, Learning, and Performance Management
  • Proven experience leading a team in the implementation and support of SuccessFactors Employee Central, and other SF modules
  • Demonstrable experience leading successful product implementations and ongoing enhancements
  • Strong understanding of the relevant portfolio requirements and a good level of knowledge of some of the products within the portfolio
  • Strong awareness of and interest in technology trends relevant to the portfolio 
  • Knowledge of HR business processes and how they relate to SAP SuccessFactors
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to conceptualize integration design, HR Talent Management data and processes
  • Ability to translate technology solutions to business audiences, to engage and communicate effectively across all levels of the organization including technical and non-technical stakeholders, building relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated leadership and communication abilities, with a track record of building trust and respect at all levels of an organization
  • Fluent written and spoken English
