The Role

This role is a fantastic opportunity to join our forward-thinking and highly regarded Graduate Recruitment & Development team (GR&D). Our GR&D team are responsible for recruiting high calibre-candidates for vacation placements and training contracts. The team also manage trainee rotations and support their development while they work towards becoming newly qualified solicitors. The GR&D Intern will support the recruitment focused Graduate Recruitment & Development Officer (GR&DO) and get involved in all aspects of the recruitment and development cycle. The role is fast paced and requires someone who is able to juggle multiple tasks with high attention to detail. Responsibilities include:

Spring and Summer Vacation Schemes

  • Under the guidance of the (GR&DO), the GR&D Intern will beresponsible for all logistics related to the programme.
  • Acting as a first point of contact for work experience students prior to and during the scheme.
  • Organising department allocation and seating.
  • Arranging and attending social events.
  • Arranging and coordinating assessment days.

Online and Social Media

  • Working closely with the GR&DO, providing support for the maintenance of the Instagram and Facebook page as well as administrative support to maintain an effective social media strategy.

Open Days

  • Under the guidance of the GR&DO, coordinate and take responsibility for the organisation of and smooth running of the Firm's Open Day programme.
  • Responsible for pre-event correspondence with Open Day attendees.
  • Arranging in house logistics, including room bookings and catering requirements.
  • Arranging staffing with support from the London coordinator.
  • Assisting the GR&DO with the review of applications.


  • Assisting the GR&DO with the organisation and attendance of diversity and inclusion events.

Campus Management and Sponsorship

  • Arranging staffing for all events (internal and external).
  • Booking university fairs.
  • Booking venues and catering for campus events with guidance from relevant GR&DO.
  • Booking travel and accommodation for all campus activity, coordinating logistics and providing attendees with appropriate instructions.
  • Liaise with our external events courier company to ensure that all promotional materials and recruitment stands are delivered to each university events.
  • Providing logistical support to the GR & D team.

Work Experience Programme

  • Under the guidance of the GR&DO, coordinate the work experience programme.
  • Acting as a first point of contact for work experience students prior to and during the scheme.
  • Organising department allocation and seating.

Other Responsibilities

  • Attending ad-hoc events and presentations, as necessary.
  • Ad-hoc project work, as required.
  • Shared responsibility for responding and maintaining the Graduate Recruitment email account.
  • Drafting responses using template email text and escalating any unusual or complex queries to the London Graduate Recruitment team.
  • Liaising with venues in relation to event bookings.
  • Acting as first point of contact for student telephone queries.
  • Managing invoicing process and dealing with invoice queries as required.

Candidate management

  • Assisting with application screening and group assessments as required.

Key skills and Experience required

  • Experience of a similar role - ideally within a Professional Services environment although this is not a prerequisite
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • A flexible approach to meet current and future business needs
  • Flexibility to attend evening events, when required
  • A good knowledge of relevant IT systems
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to quickly understand the Firm’s HR policies and procedures
  • Ability to plan, schedule and arrange own activities to accomplish objectives
  • Ability to build rapport at all levels
  • Collaborative, effectively working with others to achieve team success
  • Respects and enjoys the diversity of cultural, social and academic backgrounds found in the Firm
