The Kyiv office of Baker McKenzie holds a competition among law students from Ukrainian universities to offer the most successful of them an internship. Our Internship Program provides an ideal opportunity to experience what it's like to work for a global law firm.

We invite students who:

  • are obtaining their first degree in law, and who are in their third or fourth year of a bachelor's degree program or their first year of a master's degree program
  • are fluent in spoken and written Ukrainian and English
  • have a good to excellent academic performance

We offer:

  • an internship in one of our practice groups: Antitrust & Competition, Banking & Finance, Trade and Commerce, Corporate/M&A, Pharmaceutical, Dispute Resolution, Employment, Intellectual Property, Real Estate or Tax

  • information on academic performance (a scanned copy of the diploma or the grades book)

  • 5 July 2021 to 13 August 2021

Stages of selection (our HR department will get in touch with the selected candidates to set a date and time for the next stage of the selection process):

I. submission of applications (in order to be considered, any application must include all of the required documents)
II. a written English test for 1.5 hours (it consists of one question on a legal topic and a translation section)
III. interview with the HR department and associates and partners of legal departments
IV. final selection and interns announced (candidates will be notified of whether they have been selected as interns and those who are selected will be contacted directly by phone or email and provided with further instructions) 

Note: The Firm retains the right to propose to certain candidates different practice groups or a different internship period.
