Baker McKenzie's Luxembourg office is part of a global law firm that offers a wide range of expertise and legal solutions customized to our international clients' needs. We advise clients on market-leading transactions in key industries, including banking, insurance, asset management, pharmaceuticals, oil, energy and real estate.

Our Business Development & Communication Department is seeking a trainee for four months minimum up to six months. An internship agreement is required. 

Your duties:

  • Maintain client databases and update distribution lists
  • Participate actively in refreshing and developing our request for proposal materials  
  • Provide support to teams to prepare personalized client pitches and their follow-up
  • Assist in developing and executing our business development and marketing strategy, as follows:
    • Identify business opportunities
    • Create tools to pursue clients and identify opportunities
    • Conduct market trend research as well as regular competition watch
    • Review and refresh our go-to-market materials 
  • Participate in reviewing and implementing our communication strategy to increase brand awareness and visibility through social media, media coverage and key events
  • Produce accurate and high-quality reports relating to our business development performance and visibility
  • Collaborate closely with our HR team to deploy our employer branding strategy, as follows:
    • Promote Baker McKenzie
    • Develop initiatives and campaigns to ensure an impactful presence alongside forums, and liaise with universities and schools 
    • Assist in reviewing our HR communication materials

Your profile:

  • Student from a business school or enrolled in a master's degree in business administration, marketing or communication
  • Experience working in a marketing or business development role in a legal or professional services environment will be an advantage
  • High work standards and a sense of excellence
  • Strong time management skills, ability to multitask and client service orientation
  • Excellent organizational and follow-up skills
  • Excellent critical thinking and analysis skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to react quickly to resolve issues
  • Ability to present ideas and views clearly and with confidence 
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as a strong team player with a positive attitude
  • Excellent Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Fluent in English (level C2) 
  • Fluency in French will be considered an asset
