The Talent Management Business Partner, Global PBS Functions will work collaboratively and proactively with the leaders of the Firm's PBS Functions to accelerate Functional and individual performance among our PBS population, aligned with the Firm's strategic direction, vision and values, and to provide support to the Function Leaders in relation to people issues, by serving as a liaison within the Talent Management (or other People) team most appropriately placed to address these issues. This is a highly collaborative role, which requires liaising closely with Function Leaders while also working on a daily basis with Regional and Alliance/office-based Talent/HR colleagues.


  • Operate as Talent Management (TM) Business Partner for the Firm's Function Leaders to understand and support the implementation of their strategic needs in relation to their people.
  • Act as TM Business Partner to Function Leaders in the implementation of the PBS21 project
  • Key role in the overall implementation of PBS21, including:
    • overseeing workforce planning and open roles process
    • coordinating the Firm's relationship with outsourced recruitment provider
  • Liaise and co-ordinate with Regional and Alliance/office-based TM to provide support to Function Leaders regarding:
    • team planning and management (pipeline, succession and promotion, workforce planning, utilisation, etc.);
    • performance calibration;
    • advice, counsel and coaching to Function Leaders on people strategy and issues, (co-ordinating closely with Region and office based HR/Talent).
  • Support Function Leaders in identifying any recruitment needs, and coordinate closely with the appropriate Recruitment team to ensure processes move forward, as well as managing any necessary open roles approvals. Partner with the Recruitment and local Talent Management teams to co-ordinate offer approval, onboarding and induction
  • Act as initial point of contact for Function Leaders for any Mobility issues, liaising with the Mobility team and with the appropriate local Talent Management teams in order to move the process forward
  • Coordinate large-scale, global talent management-related projects at the direction of the Global Director of Talent Management or Chief People Officer, working closely with Talent Management leadership
  • Work closely with Talent Management Leadership team to implement the Firm's response to its employee surveys within each Function

Experience Required

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree focusing on Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, Organizational Development, Management, or other related areas
  • Extensive experience in HR/Talent management
  • Experience of managing complex HR/Talent Management projects across multiple offices and jurisdictions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact and influence at the highest levels of the Firm
  • Fluent written and spoken English is required
  • Highly collaborative, with the proven ability to influence, interact and consult with senior leaders and manage stakeholders confidently and effectively
  • Strong team-building ethic and experience, with a keen understanding of the necessity of cross-office and cross-team project management, and the ability to engage and build rapport and reliable relationships with colleagues at all levels
  • Ability to create an environment of trust with key stakeholders, particularly those in leadership roles; effectively utilize negotiation and conflict resolution skills when needed
  • Demonstrated ability to solve problems and drive results with a sense of urgency in setting strategies and executing against the objectives
  • Strong coaching, counselling, business acumen and overall communication skills
  • Confident in collaborating across current organizational boundaries
