The Dallas office of Baker & McKenzie LLP seeks a Legal Secretary to provide administrative assistance to attorneys in the management/administration of their practice within the Intellectual Property practice group. The Legal Secretary is responsible for daily maintenance of the attorney's practice including, preparing correspondence and expense reports, managing attorney calendars and travel, managing phone calls and email requests, assisting in the billing process, and other administrative functions.

Experience Required

The candidate should have a minimum of 8 years secretarial/administrative work experience in a legal or professional services environment, experience working with attorneys in a law firm environment preferred. Candidate must have intermediate knowledgeable of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint (advance knowledge preferred), and must have excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills. Candidate must also be able to manage heavy travel arrangements, both domestic and international, and must be able to manage a busy desk.  High school diploma or equivalent is required. Bachelor degree or secretarial certificate preferred.
