Description
To assist maintaining the Seoul office talent management and office administrative policies, programs, and practices; assist with the execution of local office talent management strategy in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of the Firm in the areas of recruitment and selection; compensation; employee development; performance management; and employee relations.
To work closely with Seoul office TM members as well as Baker McKenzie overseas TM members to provide high quality, consistent and seamless support to in Seoul on all matters relating to people management for both timekeepers and staffs.
Report to Seoul office TM Lead and (if requested or necessary) to JAO TM Lead and/or Seoul office General Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to employee requests and questions and escalate to the Seoul Head of TM as needed
- Partner with employees and management to communicate various human resource policies, procedures, laws, and standards
- Coordinating of onboarding and offboarding for all legal staff and business professionals.
- Responsible for managing the administration of any employee benefits including holiday carry over and health checks.
- Assist with legal and business professional recruitment to ensure a best-in-class recruitment process and candidate experience. Tasks may include obtaining approvals per the approval matrix, screening of candidates, tracking of candidates and preparation of offer materials via the HR System
- Assist with the administration relating to the annual compensation review process
- Provide administrative support for the annual performance review and compensation process for the legal and business professionals.
- Assist the Head of TM with reporting to regional and global including staff movements statistics and trends with regards to staff.
- Participate in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success
- Coordinating any HR related mandatory educations or training required by Korean labor laws and Korean Bar Association
- Assist with any special projects as needed, including and local or regional projects
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree holder;
- Native Korean is a must; proficient in English;
- Proficient in computer skills (MS Office, etc.);
