Description

The Specialist, People Systems will perform a variety of day-to-day administrative Human Resource Information System (HRIS) functions ensuring data integrity and the processing and reporting of HR data; handle problems and non-routine situations by determining the approach or action to take and interpreting guidelines, procedures, policies, and practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Confirm accuracy and integrity of all data entered, maintain data in HRIS systems and databases and assure information is available on a timely basis
  • Perform group data updates, exports, imports, clean-ups, and research/report on any data discrepancies
  • Deliver routine daily/weekly/monthly reporting and respond to basic to intermediate ad hoc data requests
  • Provide assistance and support other team members on difficult assignments and/or problems as directed
  • Coordinate, schedule and track progress of specialized work projects or departmental functions
  • Respond verbally or in writing to inquiries, complaints or problems providing information requiring comprehensive knowledge on the system
  • Act as primary contact for assigned function with outside organizations or other departments; respond to technical administrative questions and ensures necessary follow up
  • Prepare or direct preparation of minutes, notices, manuals, agendas, and correspondence with all supporting documentation, requiring application of specialized knowledge of the assigned function
  • Participate in special projects with staff as directed
  • May supervise, monitor or coordinate activities of subordinates
  • Perform other functions as may be assigned by immediate manager from time to time

Experience Required

  • BS degree in HR or Information management with strong experience in HRIS/IS; or equivalent work experience
  • Strong mathematical/analytical aptitude
  • Excellent data mining, manipulation and analytical skills
  • Strong computer skills; high proficiency in MS Excel (with extensive experience in and knowledge of formulas and functions, pivot tables and charts)
  • Knowledge of principles, practices and standards of human resource administration in assigned area
  • Extensive HR systems reporting, HR process, and project management experience required
  • Highly organized with ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent problem solving, and time-management skills
  • Demonstrated experience/maturity to handle confidential and sensitive information
  • Positive, service oriented attitude with the ability to follow through on issues
  • Ability to foresee potential challenges and provide solutions to a variety of problems
