Description
The Coordinator/Senior Coordinator, JAO Pitch & Pursuits will coordinate and prepare pitches, proposals, or capability statements for day-to-day and short-turnaround (typically, 24 to 48 hours) pitch opportunities led from our Joint Asian Offices (JAO) in Asia Pacific. The role entails leveraging pre-written content, precedents, and templates to deliver important local and cross-border business-as-usual and quick-turnaround proposals in collaboration with partners and in-market and other business development teams across the firm's offices. This role will also be a part of the Firm's Market Pitch Pros community, bringing together pitch professionals from different offices to work in close alignment with the Global Client Pursuits (GCP) team for centralized and consistent adoption of the Firm's pitch tools, templates, and best practices.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare pitches, proposals, and capability statements for local, day-to-day, and short turnaround time opportunities led by the JAO, mostly within Asia Pacific but may require inter-region coordination at times
- Support the implementation of and share pitches and proposals best practice working closely with other JAO BD colleagues and the GCP team
- Consistent reporting of pitches on BakerCI pitch tracker and follow-up post-pitch to ensure accurate and timely reporting of pitch wins/losses
- Work with partners to assess proposal opportunities, support partners to decline opportunities that are not in line with the firm strategy, and assemble teams and resources to respond quickly and effectively to those opportunities we do pursue
- Proactively develop and manage key messages/pitch content and JAO cap stats to ensure that proposals of superior quality are easily accessible and delivered on time
- Become deeply familiar with the Firm's other pitch team members (local, regional, and global) and develop strong, positive, and collaborative working relationships for seamless pitch delivery
- Collaborate with BDMC professionals worldwide, including client managers, industry and practice group BDMs, and in-market BDMs to leverage client intelligence, practice and industry know-how, case studies, and credentials
Skills and Experience:
- Interest or experience in BD/marketing/communications in professional services, especially in proposal development
- Proficient in spoken and written English
- Expert in MS Office, especially PowerPoint
- Organization, project management, and ability to handle multiple projects on tight deadlines simultaneously
- Interpersonal skills to work with remote teams of partners, lawyers, and BD/marketing professionals
- Persuasive and diplomacy skills and ability to deal autonomously with highly intelligent and demanding internal clients at all levels
